Hello! Thank you for visiting Happy Go Doggy Studio. My name is Frenda. My dog photography journey started in March 2020. For 2 years prior to this time, I was helping my partner with his dog walking and boarding business. Then COVID arrived. My regular in-person hip hop dance classes were suddenly cancelled and I wanted to find another creative outlet that I could do at my home. I always enjoyed taking pictures for different reasons. For a while I dabbled in food photography for my previous employer, even though it was not a subject with which I had much passion. Shooting photos of dogs seemed like a good idea since we had a regular flow of diverse dogs in our home who loved to pose for treats. I built a dog portrait studio in my garage equipped with lights, backdrops, and props. Although it's fun to photograph dogs in a studio, I also wanted to capture images of dogs running and playing freely outdoor. For my next project, I plan to photograph dogs in animal shelters to ensure the dogs look their best for prospective adoption applicants. Hopefully my photos will help the dogs find their forever home.
